I'm the one who linked to the ShadesPlus auction. I've ordered from this person numerous times in the past, and going by my experiences I would not doubt his honesty -- BUT, it's sometimes a bit difficult to communicate clearly with him. I'm not sure if it's a language barrier, or what, but sometimes he just doesn't seem to understand something I say. In this case, he assumed you were buying the original duck according to the terms of the auction, PLUS everything else you ordered via private correspondence. That's how it's always been when I've worked with him -- I'll buy the first duck through the auction, then email a request for total where I say I would like to add other ducks to the purchase. It's sort of a "buy this one on ebay, get whatever others you want at a discount" deal.
I'm sorry that you're having this trouble, and I feel somewhat responsible since I suggested buying from him to begin with. For what it's worth, I have not had trouble with him, and he's always sent what I wanted quickly and appropriately. And he keeps getting ducks in stock that nobody else has, so I keep finding working with him worth it. But I'm not exactly *surprised* that he eventually had a misunderstanding like this. I apologize for not making things clearer myself in my original recommendation.
