I also referred Lisa to Shades Plus. Just thought I'd mention that I have also ordered many times with ShadesPlus and have had no problems so I suspect (and hope) that everything will be resolved to everyone's satisfaction.
I usually do what Kite does: I wait until an auction is over and then add ducks to the auction win (or ask to buy ducks directly after an auction loss if the seller is running a business). It's never a good idea to bid on something and not pay even if you think you have an agreement. It's not that people are mean- spirited, but as a seller it can be hard to remember who is who, particularly trying to remember which email addresses go with which ebay IDs. And dealing with a lot of non-payers can make it hard to separate the good guys from the bad! I would advise folks to always pay for an auction win for your own peace of mind and for that of sellers.
That said, I do appreciate people letting me know if they are having noteworthy experiences, bad or good, with vendors. This sort of feedback makes it easy for me to edit the list of vendors in "Favorite Links". If a vendor gets enough bad feedback I remove them from the list and if a vendor gets enough great feedback I make them a recommended vendor. So far only Iloveduckies/Zydeco Gifts has achieved that rarefied status! Of course everything is up to the editor's discretion. :-)
