Yes, Murduck did talk. You would bump/jar him and he would say something cute, had a total saying of about five or six things.
Don't know if he was a video star or not, though he did have a small (size and quanity) clothes collection.
I got mine sometime between 1990 and '92, towards the end of his reign. A clothes package of his is copyrighted 1991 Video Technology, with a brand name of Vee Tee Toys.
Murduck was one of the first ducks i started to collect!
